Why I built it
Answering buyer messages is one of the most repetitive parts of running an Etsy shop, and fast, accurate replies affect your shop's standing. Saved replies handle the questions that repeat, but they cannot read an order or a conversation. Sellereply covers the replies that need that context.
What it does
- Reads the context. According to its site, it reads the current message thread, the order status and history, and the shop information you save, such as products, materials, size charts, prices and shipping terms.
- Writes in the buyer's language. Drafts are generated in the language the buyer used, and the interface comes in six languages.
- Flags rule-breaking content. Links, email addresses, phone numbers and attempts to move the buyer off Etsy are flagged with a warning.
- Helps with reviews. It drafts a thank-you for praise and a problem-solving reply for negative reviews.
- Never auto-sends. You always review and press send.
How it works
- Install the Chrome extension and add your license key.
- Open an Etsy message or order page. A button appears under the message box.
- Read the draft, edit it if you want, and send it yourself.
Built to be safe to use
It does not ask for your Etsy password. Per the Sellereply site, your saved shop information stays in your browser and is sent temporarily to generate a draft, then deleted. The approach follows the same rules I recommend for any AI customer service: limited data, human review, no automatic sending. See AI in customer service: risks and rules and how to build the knowledge base behind good drafts.
Who it is for
Sellers who answer many messages, sell to buyers in several languages, or handle personalized orders where each reply depends on the details. If most of your questions are identical, Etsy's own quick replies and auto-replies may be enough. A free trial is available.
